Albert Caruana Ph.D. is Professor of Marketing at the University of Malta, and at the University of Bologna, Italy. He continues to be actively involved in doctoral, master’s and staff development programmes and has lectured in Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, United Kingdom, France, United States, Australia, Singapore and China. His work includes papers published in the Journal of Advertising; Journal of Advertising Research; Journal of Business Research; Industrial Marketing Management; Journal of Marketing Education and European Journal of Marketing. A number of his papers have received awards.

Prof. Francesco Ciabuschi
Francesco Ciabuschi is Professor of International Business at Uppsala University’s Department of Business Studies.
He has been also deputy head of department and director of research. He has a PhD in International Business from Uppsala University.
He teaches at the undergraduate, graduate, executive MBA, and doctoral programs. He is also a Graduate and PhD thesis supervisor.

Ph.D. in Accountancy, Bocconi University. She he is currently Full Professor at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. Senior Professor at SDA Bocconi, and MISB Bocconi. She has been Associate Visiting Professor at STERN School of Business, New York University (1995-1998 and 2008-2012) and at INSEAD, Fontainebleau (1999-2000). Sometimes consultant to the United Nation Development Program and the European Union for management training projects in Eastern Europe, Russia, Kirghizstan and Kazakhstan. She has been consulting to the industry on performance measurement systems design and implementation.

StartCup Ticino is a competition for the creation of ideas and entrepreneurial innovative projects, realized in Canton Ticino.
The aim is to create new start-up companies: the top 5 finalists will be awarded on 6th December 2017 and will be automatically admitted to the second phase of selection for the Swiss Economic Award and to the 3rd Swiss Venture Day Ticino.

StartCup Ticino is an initiative of Centro Promozione Start-Up (CP Start-Up) USI-SUPSI promoted by the Regional Innovation System for awarding the most innovative projects, aiming to highlight the entrepreneurial spirit on the territory.On December 6th, 2017, the top five ranked projects will be awarded with a prize of 50.000, 30.000, 20.000 and 10.000 CHF.

Olimpio Pini is CEO and Multidisciplinary project leader at Pini Swiss Engineers.
He previously had experience in many engineering projects: AlpTransit, the new Lugano Ponte Tresa railway, road traffic engineering of Lugano city, just to name a few.
He graduated from ETH Zurich in Engineering in 1980 and has a postgraduation in Management of Technologies and in Complexity Management with System Dynamics at St Gallen University.

Prof. Gianluca Carnabuci holds a Ph.D. in Social and Behavioral Sciences from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He is Associate Professor of Organization and Management at the University of Lugano, Switzerland, and Professor at SDA Bocconi School of Management, Italy. His research focuses on the role of collaboration, interpersonal relations and social networks on the performance of individuals and organizations. He has taught and teaches Organization Theory and Organizational Behavior at the undergraduate level; Networks and Organizations at the graduate level; Knowledge & Organization at the PhD level; Organizational Design, Change Management, Leadership and Negotiation at the executive and MBA level.

Prof. Kostis Christodoulou has been teaching courses on Quantitative Methods, Decision Analysis, Business Statistics, Risk Management and Financial Modelling to MBA students and business executives at London Business School, City University Business School (where he received the MBA teaching award) and at ALBA Graduate Business School. He holds a Ph.D. in Decision Sciences from London Business School, a M.Sc. in Mathematics & Operations Research from the London School of Economics and a ΒΑ in Mathematics & Computer Science from Swarthmore College.

Professor Kandarp Mehta

Kandarp Mehta currently lectures at the IESE Business School in Barcelona. He has been a visiting scholar at the Kellogg School of Management in the USA and ISE Business School in Brazil. His research is focused on creativity in organizations and negotiations. He frequently works as a consultant with start-ups on issues related to Innovation and Creativity. His doctoral thesis was about the process of creativity in the context of the motion picture industry. He has conducted several Negotiation and Creativity Workshops for corporate executives and management students in Europe, USA and India.

Piergiorgio Balbo is currently executive Vice President Operations of FIAMM, with leading position in the last 15 years in the “Automotive” and in the “Energy Storage” business.
He previously had experience in the automotive machine tools industry as a Sales and Project Manager of VERECO and LANDIS GEAR and three years of experience in the Telecom business as a Project Manager at ATP-ITALTEL Sistemi.
He graduated from University of Padova in Electronic Engineering with Executive Programs at University of Michigan and SDA Bocconi.
